"Classic Indio eatery since the olden days of elderly people here in the Coachella Valley. Not expensive at all, I spent $23 on 2 burger combos, 1 with a milkshake. The original Owner closed it down a year or 2 ago but was reopened by a local Entrepreneur, preserving the location, the menu and the nostalgia."

"I found this place just by Googling it. Well, come to find out, my dad and my grandparents used to come here when passing through. The food was so good. We loved EVERYTHING. Brought back some memories for my dad, but it was so worth the wait. Thank you, Burger Box!!!"

"My wife said it was the best potato slices she has ever had. I thought the double Cheese burger tasted ok but was a little small. Reminded me of a kids burger."

"Just ate there with my wife. The food was fantastic and the staff was so friendly. The owners son out cleaning the tables. He told us burger box has been around since 1954. We were enjoying our delicious burgers at a piece of history. We wish the new owners the best."

"This is a blast from the past and every sense of the word The atmosphere and the walk up window brings you back to those places that grandma and grandpa took you The food, authentic and old-fashioned good And the price is extremely reasonable The fries, the fries are must have We went for the burger upon recommendation. It was a good burger. Remind me of a good old-fashioned hamburgers sold at all those walk up drive-ins of yesterday year. We scored because the lady waiting in line referred us to the burrito the fried burrito get the fried burrito REPEAT get the fried burrito"

"This place was a neat stop if you like pop-culture history. Opened in 1954, Burger Box is a decent fast food joint built into a former combination gas station/motel. Imagine travelling America's remote highways in the 1950s, where you have a gas station, motel and restaurant all in one convenient place. Today the gas station and motel are closed, but the original structures remain. It's a bit of a time machine that allows you to glimpse a bit of interstate travel life back in your grandparent's day. Furthermore, any burger joint that's been around for 70 years is worth a visit because they must be doing something right. The food is very well done but not spectacular (it's fast food after all). They also have a unique take on french fries. Instead of the the traditional stick-cut fries, they cut them into thick potato chip-style slices. The staff was very polite and helpful, and the bathrooms were clean (a rarity for a roadside stop!). I came on a weekday at lunchtime and it was moderately busy, so plan to wait 15 minutes or so for your order to be ready."
